I first started racing my mountain bike when I was 7, I would always go along to the local mountain bike races and watch my brother and dad smash it up; at first I was too nervous to race because there were no other girls but I finally gave in and did my first race. This decision opened up a whole range of opportunities, allowing me to grow as a rider and a person. I have never looked back. Now, not only do I race my mountain bike; I race road and track as well. At first I only started riding road and track to train for the mountain bike but I soon found myself racing both of them at a national level. However, mountain biking has always been my favourite!

Mountain Biking has such an amazing atmosphere; no matter where you are you will always find a mountain biker keen on having a chat. This atmosphere coupled with the passion, enthusiasm and support offered, is why it is so easy to fall in love with the sport.

My 2014/2015 National MTB season was full of ups and downs, it was the first season where not every race went my way. I had to learn how to be resilient and patient and how to overcome the inner barrier that was keeping me down. I became a much more mature rider this season, and I owe a lot to Pete and Rich, from the team, for not only helping me reach this maturity but for constantly being there for me.

I am forever grateful for all the support the team, the sponsors and my parents have given me. I have made so many new friends, gained a lot of experience and made unforgettable memories.  I look forward to what lies ahead, and will make sure this includes smashing some more trails on my Superfly, and making some more laughs with my teamies.
